Introduction
The Sindh Biotechnologists Association (SBA) Pakistan hopes to contribute to the change in healthy lifestyles of people around the globe. In April 2020, The Sindh Biotechnologists Association (SBA) of Pakistan had laid its foundation. We have more than four years of experience in providing free-of-cost services in the growing field of applied biosciences where we are maintaining a solid basis for the rightful propagation of applied fields in Pakistan and especially Biotechnology with our unique mindset that is expanding quickly thanks to the cutting-edge biotechnologies and its product revolution. We have introduced our distinctive annual volunteer-ship program where successfully trained hundreds of individuals who do not have any prior skill-set. Thus, we have been able to effectively win the trust of both domestic and foreign students including our ambassadors from Nepal, China, Italy and other regions of the world.
Vision
When it comes to meeting the demand for widespread research and development, Sindh Biotechnologists Association (SBA) is essential. This can only be accomplished through extensive industrialization, support for research initiatives, and an optimistic mindset. As a result, Sindh Biotechnologists Association (SBA) aims to encourage the creation of novel research projects that transcend established disciplinary boundaries. The establishment multidisciplinary units like the Research & Development (R&D), Commercialization & Marketing (C&M), and Research & Excellence (R&E) units are one efficient approach to do this.

The Sindh Biotechnologists Association focuses on the research gaps market direction, problem-analysis, professional education, skill development, and value addition of mass research and development. It’s crucial to direct resources towards research in order to accomplish these goals. The task of enabling and assisting the discovery and innovation process online falls to the different departments of Our mission is to perform innovative biotechnological research addressing issues within the country and updating industries. We work to make the most of our experience to create original ideas, discover novel treatments, and unleash the potential of biotechnology to resolve crucial issues in the fields of healthcare, agriculture, and the environment. We want to have a significant impact on society by turning scientific advancements into practical advantages for people all over the country via collaboration, ethical behavior, and a dedication to quality.
Aims & Objectives
The Sindh Biotechnologists Association has been developed to enhance scientific knowledge in all domains by providing support to every individual.

To educate and develop a new generation of proficient young researchers and scientists, by giving them the skills and knowledge necessary to improve the field in the future. - To identify and explore novel biotechnological applications with the potential to revolutionize industries and improve the quality of life.

Our Team
Khalid Hussain
Founder, CEO & Trainer
Mr. Khalid Hussain is a bioentrepreneur in Pakistan. He has done M.Phil in Biotechnology from Dr. A. Q Khan Institute of Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering (KIBGE), University of Karachi, and also bears a degree of Bachelors in Education from Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur. Mr. Hussain has an experience of three years as CEO and Trainer at SBA. He is also currently serving as Teacher at School Education and Literacy Department, Government of Sindh.
Aymen Arif
Program Manager
Ms. Aymen Arif is a Biotechnologist with expertise in genetic modification analysis, depression inducing variants, hepatitis quantification and halal food testing. She also heads the molecular research lab of Isra University Karachi and is a visiting faculty at UOK. Aymen believes a focused system is needed to make sustainable biological technologies accessible to Pakistan’s people. Thus, she joined the Sindh Biotechnologists Association in 2020.
Muhammad Yahya
Administrative Manager
Mr. Muhammad Yahya has a graduation in Biotechnology from University of Sindh. Mr. Yahya is currently working as Adminstrative Manager at SBA. He is also currently serving as a teacher at School Education and Literacy Department, Government of Sindh.
Shaheer Ahmad
Training Head
Mr. Shaheer Ahmad has a graduation in Bioscience from University of Pecs. Mr. Ahmad worked as International Student Abassador and Senior Represenative of biosciences at University of Pecs. Moreover he is also working as Amnesty International Member at Freedom Club Hungary.
Bushra Shahid
Event Manager
Ms. Bushra Shahid is a Biotechnologist. She has an M.Sc. Biotechnology from University of Karachi and currently pursuing her MPhil. In Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering from DR. A.Q. Khan Institute of Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering (KIBGE). Her keen interest in biological sciences led her to pursue Clinical Research Course Professional certificate.
Tuba Nafees
General Secretary
Ms. Tuba Nafees is the Gold Medalist graduate in Biotechnology from Karachi University. She is an academic geek, an enthusiastic writer and an artistic soul.
She has worked as an author at Express Tribune and is co-author of the poetic book “Moj-e-Dil”. She has acquired research experience in the field of Plant Tissue Culture and has explored her pragmatic potentials in research, healthcare and Pharma sectors.
Arooba Shabbir
Joint Secretary
Arooba Shabbir has recently graduated from Karachi University in Genetics and is now offering her skills as a Joint Secretary at SBA. She masters the art of scientific Writing. She possesses great research skills and is effectively employing them in a research lab at Karachi.
Mehran
Graphic Designer
Mr. Mehran did Bachelor’s degree from the Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur. Moreover he has experience of 12 years in graphic designing, served as graphic designer in different private institutions. he has a experience in skills such as graphic desigining, blogging, video editing, composing Skills in multiple languages and many more.
Farah Batool
Assistant to Founder
Farah Batool is a third year Biotechnology student at Ziauddin University. She is serving as an Assistant to founder at SBA. She loves to soak up knowledge and gain valuable experiences from diverse individuals. She also works as an IR in OHCA and is currently working for their research project.
Bushra Umer
Content Producer
Bushra Umer, an undergraduate in Biotechnology from Jinnah University for Women. Currently, she is the Content Producer at SBA. She has polished her research and presentation skills in the SBA volunteership program and now gearing herself up to serve the organization at the professional level.

With a strong academic background in Biotechnology and a passion for science storytelling, she leverages her experience as a Research Assistant at Dow University of Health Sciences and Content Editor at SBA to create informative, engaging, and inspiring content that educates, connects, and empowers the scientific community.

Areeba Saleem, a house officer at Dow University, leverages her Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) background to combine practical laboratory skills with robust research methodologies. With strong English proficiency and effective communication skills, she has the ability to transform complex science into compelling insights, inspiring audiences and driving progress as a Content Presenter at SBA.
Wareesha Alvi
Digital Marketing Strategist
Wareesha Alvi is a Biotechnology graduate from the University of Karachi. She worked in the pharmaceutical industry as a Quality control officer. Apart from this, she experienced working in a research institute and also explored content writing as a freelancer. Currently, she is part of a software house in the field of Digital Marketing.

Laraib Elahi is currently studying at Jinnah University for Women in Biotechnology department. She worked as a presenter at SBA. Her keen interest in her field empowers her learning potentials to do more for the betterment of life sciences.
